Kolkata, July 27 (KNN) Aiming to enhance the procurement from SC/ ST entrepreneurs, the MSME- Development Institute, Kolkata, is organizing a State Level Vendor Development Programme (SLVDP) on August 3, 2016.
SLVDP is being organized for SC/ST entrepreneurs in collaboration with Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE Ltd.) and Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
The basic objective of the above SLVDP programme is to promote the SC/ST Entrepreneurs as the vendors of GRSE Ltd and highlight the Public Procurement Policy, 2012.
The programme aims to explore indigenous sources for imported items presently procured by GRSE Ltd and to highlight the Procurement Policy and Vendor Registration Procedure of GRSE Ltd.
“The Vendor Development Programme is an attempt to build up a symbiotic relationship between the large (PSUs) and the micro & small scale units so that both the sectors are mutually benefited. The PSUs can meet a major portion of their purchase from the MSEs, thereby providing a meaningful marketing support to the Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs),” MSME-DI said in a communication to the stakeholders.
