AI Saarthi Helps Policymakers Convert Government Data Into Actionable Insights: NITI Aayog

New Delhi, Sept 3 (KNN) NITI Aayog has introduced AI Saarthi, a conversational insight tool integrated into its NITI for States (NFS) platform, aimed at helping policymakers, administrators and researchers convert government data into decision-ready insights.

AI Saarthi allows users to ask questions in a conversational format and receive insights based on verified official government datasets.

Benchmark District Performance

The tool enables users to compare district-level performance on key indicators against comparable districts and identify areas where gaps exist.

It can also help users understand the likely reasons behind performance gaps by analysing official datasets and exploring interventions adopted by districts that have successfully addressed similar challenges.

Built On Official Government Data

AI Saarthi is designed to support evidence-based governance by simplifying complex state and district-level statistics and presenting actionable insights.

The tool is available through the NFS portal and directly on the NITI TARA device. Users can access the first five queries each day without logging in.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening data-driven decision-making by enabling users to move from data to decisions through an accessible conversational interface.
