Applications invited for D.L Shah Quality Award 2021 for MSMEs & industrial sector

New Delhi, 3 Dec (KNN) The National Board for Quality Promotion (NBQP), a constituent board of Quality Council of India has announced the launch of its 14th edition of QCI – D.L Shah Quality Award 2021.

Applications are invited fr0m industries across India, as the award recognizes outstanding project(s) of an organizations that have ensured continual improvement covering three aspects which are Operations and processes, Products and/or services and Customers’/stakeholders’ satisfaction.

The levels of the award are platinum, gold and silver, and the last date to submit the application is 31st December 2021.

Projects fr0m any function or department of the organization and is open to all type of organizations/sectors such as PSU, NGO, MSME, Manufacturing, Finance, Government enterprises, Infrastructure etc.

After filling the online application, preliminary screening will be conducted followed by a document evaluation.

Project Presentation will be the next stage which would lead to site verification and then final selection.

The application fee for MSME/Educational/Govt/NGO is INR 5000 and other sectors is INR 10,000.

One of the conditions for application is that the applying unit should be located in India (project(s) implemented at the sites abroad will also be considered on case-to-case basis.

The projects should have been concluded within the last 3 years fr0m the date of announcement of the award and only those Projects which have concluded and have demonstrated benefits for minimum 6 months at least shall be considered.

The organization shall not have been convicted by any Court for any irregularities is also a condition.

And multiple projects applied under the same title fr0m various units shall not be considered by virtue of implementation at other unit/plant in the horizontal deployment process.

While projects applications which have been received in the past but after incorporating substantial continual and break through improvements in the process resulting in outcome(s) demonstrating quantum jumps may be considered after the period of 3 years.

Further, projects that are entirely sub-contracted are not acceptable, however projects driven through the strategic leadership of the management and implemented with the help of outsourced facilities which are not available in-house would be acceptable (Projects shall be implemented by the applicant under the strategic plan/leadership of the management).

Lastly, applications which seem to have negative influence on the human being, Quality of life, environment, Health, Safety, Society etc. will not be considered

NBQP has stated that organization can submit a maximum of 3 projects fr0m a particular unit/branch or its regional office, and sectors covered by Gol under Udyog Manthan are encouraged to apply.
