Deptt of Atomic Energy sets up five centers to offer technologies to MSME entrepreneurs

New Delhi, Nov 28 (KNN) Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) has invited Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and emerging entrepreneurs to participate in the technology development cum incubation centres to be set up by the later at five locations around the country.

These locations are Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Mumbai, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) Kalpakkam, Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) Indore, Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC) Kolkata and Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) Gandhinagar.

''DAE invites enterprises from the MSME sectors and emerging entrepreneurs to participate in this promising new initiative,'' said DAE. 

''The incubation centre will link India's robust start up ecosystem to the nuclear sectors and foster synergy between research facilitates and technology entrepreneurs, '' it added.

Established in 1954, the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) directly comes under the Prime Minister of India with headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. DAE has been engaged in the development of nuclear power technology, applications of radiation technologies in the fields of agriculture, medicine, industry and basic research.

It comprises five research centres, three industrial organisations, five public sector undertakings and three service organisations.
