New Delhi, Nov 18 (KNN) Informal sectors could graduate into micro, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and grow further, contributing much to the economic growth and development, as formal enterprises in the economy.

Among the recommendations that emerged during a round table discussion on November-12 were – the need to address issues such as packaging, marketing, product quality and better, appropriate and green technologies.

Other issues that need to be addressed are training and capacity building needs; creating an institutional mechanism that provides various services to them such as hand holding, mentoring, technology and finance facilitation and providing information to informal sector at each of the community bloc levels.
