Karnal, Dec 14 (KNN) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)-Development Institute, Karnal, is organizing an awareness programme on Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) Certification Scheme in Panchkula on December 21.
The program will be organized in association with Haryana Chamber of Commerce & Industries and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).
The organizers said the objective of the programme is to create awareness amongst MSMEs about ZED manufacturing and motivate them for the assessment of their enterprise for ZED rating.
This would also encourage the MSMEs continuously upgrade their quality standards in products & processes.
The entrepreneurs from the sectors such as electrical, textile, automobile, pharma, chemicals, electronics, food processing and aspiring entrepreneurs can attend the programme.
According to the ZED module, the rating process of ZED assists the company in achieving a higher rating. If the company chooses to avail consulting support, they will then be assessed onsite and given a renewed ZED rating after a fixed duration. The rating provided will be valid for a period of 4 years.
Quality Council of India (QCI) will award the certification to the respective companies as per the site assessment conducted.
Under the ZED Certification Scheme, MSMEs are urged to make products with “Zero Defect” and “Zero Effect” on the environment, thus improving the brand image of the country. (KNN/ RAS)
