Hon'ble Secretary Sir, Representatives from District Trade and Industries Centers are always in touch with registered MSMEs and it becomes their duty to update the Ministry with the problems being faced by the units in their Districts. The channel in between the MoMSME and the DTIC is a solid channel and this channel is required to be strengthened. General Manager, District Trade and Industries Centers is a Gazetted officer representing the respective District. If he sanctions a particular project and after careful study in the Task Force Committee, the case is sent to Bank for financial assistance. The Bank Manager who himself is not a Gazetted officer disrespect the GMDTIC by stating " Project not viable" " Target completed". Then what for Lead Bank Managers are appointed by Government of India whereas the LDM is also a member of Task Force Committee. I can cite many cases from entire cross section of the country where the Banks have disrespected the GMDICs and harassed the prospective entrepreneurs. This is the only reason we have no Industries in villages and the young unemployed youth is rotting on Roads. A number of times the Ministry was requested to establish the branches of SIDBI within the premises of DTIC under the umbrella of GMDICs to enable the prospective entrepreneurs avail the facilities mof financial assistance for which SIDBI was brought into existence.
