Power2SME, PCSIA organize SME transformation camp to discuss plethora of solutions for hindrances faced by MSMEs in Pune

New Delhi, Oct 13 (KNN) With an endeavor to ease the operational environment of MSMEs in the Pune, Power2SME and Pimpri Chinchwad Small Industries Association (PCSIA) apprised MSMEs on the importance of adopting and adapting to technology in order to address key issues that include lack of access to working capital and raw materials procurement and etc during SME Transformation Camp.

In line with the State Government’s mission to propel the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), SME Transformation camp was organized by Power2SME, the first ‘buying club’ for SMEs in India in association with PCSIA in Pune.

In addition to this, special session was organized by SIDBI representative highlighting the urgency of financial inclusion of the SME sector, the bedrock of the Indian economy.

Witnessing participation from over 80 MSMEs, the SMT event was graced by the presence of V. L. Rajale, Joint Director of Industries Directorate of Industries, Government of Maharashtra and Abhay Daptardar, Assistant Director, MSME Development Institute Mumbai.

In order to transform their businesses and equip them with a competitive edge, the SME transformation camp initiative, Power2SME’s flagship event, discussed a plethora of solutions for the hindrances faced SMEs that hamper their operational efficiency. 

This unison aims to connect with the large base of MSMEs in Pune and conduct a series of events throughout the year to ensure their progress and prosperity. The SME transformation camp initiative received tremendous response with over 80 MSMEs participating in the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Power2SME , Marketing and Communications, Vice President, Sudha Sarin said “With close to 70,000 MSMEs employing over 7 lakh people, Pune is an important industrial cluster that contributes significantly to the state’s economy. “

By organizing SME Transformation Camps, she said “we aspire to offer an enabling environment for SMEs present in the region. We are delighted to partner with Pimpri Chinchwad Small Industries Association. This alliance will help us in meeting our objectives, which are to augment productivity and performance of the sector, and contribute not only to the regional but to the national economy as well.”

Congratulating Power2SME for ideating SME Transformation camp initiative PCSIA, President, Sandip Belsare said, “Initiatives like these that promise to enhance the functioning of these industries and expedite their growth, while simultaneously driving efficiency and profits will surely help MSMEs in bolstering their overall performance.”

The first ‘Buying Club’ for SMEs in India, Power2SME, financially backed by Nandan Nilekani, Inventus Capital Partners, Kalaari Capital, Innoven, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Accel Partners, began operations in 2012. Committed to empowering SMEs by increasing their profits, Power2SME focuses on reducing purchase prices for SMEs and enhancing productivity.
