CCI gives clean chit to Amazon and Flipkart; says they are are not violating CCI rules

New Delhi, Nov 9 (KNN) Competition Commission of India (CCI) gives clean chit to Amazon and Flipkart stating that the business activities of the two e-commerce giants are not violating Section 4 of the CCI Act.

Both the companies are not against the competition rules, CCI said.

They also dismissed allegations of establishing dominance in the market through grouping of online shoppers.

CCI has made it clear in its order that any kind of interference should not be done in the emerging e-commerce market, so that innovation does not adversely affected.

This is in the wake of concerns about the alleged unfair business activities in the fast growing online market, said the commission.

The CCI has given this latest order on the complaint of All India Online Vendors Association, a group of over 2,000 vendors selling goods on various e-commerce markets.
