Blupine Energy Inks Solar Power Deal With APL Apollo Building Products

New Delhi, Jun 11 (KNN) BluPine Energy, a prominent renewable energy services firm in India, has announced the signing of a power purchase agreement (PPA) with APL Apollo Building Products, a subsidiary of APL Apollo Tubes Limited.

The agreement pertains to a 61.65 megawatt (MW) solar power plant to be constructed in the state of Chhattisgarh.

According to BluPine Energy's statement, the new solar facility is projected to generate approximately 94.5 million units (MUs) of electricity annually.

This substantial clean energy output is expected to offset more than 87,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions each year, representing a significant contribution to mitigating the environmental impact of conventional fossil fuel-based power generation.

The renewable energy company highlighted that the solar plant's output will aid APL Apollo Building Products in reducing its operating costs and enhancing energy efficiency across its operations.

This strategic move aligns with the broader industry trend of embracing sustainable energy solutions to minimise carbon footprints and foster long-term environmental sustainability.

BluPine Energy, established in India by the global investment firm Actis, is a leading player in the renewable energy sector.

Actis, renowned for its expertise in funding and fostering sustainable infrastructure companies worldwide, has played a pivotal role in BluPine Energy's growth trajectory.
