New Delhi, Dec 4 (KNN) Taking a step further in improving ease of doing business environment, the exporters can now track the Merchandise Export Investment Scheme (MEIS) speed-post dispatch made by the Regional Authorities.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a Trade Notice, “For trade facilitation and furthering ease of doing business, a system driven automated approval of MEIS claims is in operation from September 13, 2018.”

A new feature is being added, with immediate effect, so that exporters can track the MEIS speed-post dispatch made by Regional Authorities, DGFT added.

The DGFT has instructed all RAs to update details of speed post particulars through which MEIS has been dispatched.

The exporters need to log in to DGFT website MEIS ECOM module then go to Query and select dispatch details and select file number.

This, however, issues with the approval of competent authority, the DGFT Trade Notice said. (KNN Bureau)
