Bengaluru, Jan 24 (KNN)  To showcase the very latest trends and technological refinements from within the country and overseas, IMTEX 2015 and Tooltech 2015, both flagship events of the Indian metal cutting industry are being held from January 22-28 here.

Organised by the Indian Metal Tool Manufacturing Association (IMTMA), the events over the years have attracted visitors from a wide spectrum of manufacturing and ancillary industries starting with key decision and policy makers as well as industry captains who are keen to source latest technologies and manufacturing solutions for their production lines, according to official data.

IMTEX has come to symbolise as a one-stop forum where customers can experience 'live' display of the products enabling them in the decision making process to enhance their manufacturing capabilities.

The 17th in the series IMTEX 2015 will spearhead a wide range of opportunities for everyone connected to metal-cutting, machine tool users, manufacturing experts, technocrats, researchers, policy-makers, academia and even budding engineers and technology graduates.

On the other hand, Tooltech 2015, an event concurrent to IMTEX 2015 showcases machine tool accessories, metrology and CADICAM cutting tools, tooling systems and current trends in the tooling industry.  It highlights recent innovations in technology, design and product development with the aim to bring cost competitiveness in all metal working operations.

Metal working technology has undergone a sea change in the last few decades, with increased and varied ability to cut and process metals. Machine tools and its subsystems will continue to evolve with higher performance, enhanced safety standards, environmental compliance, with lower manufacturing tools. Besides machine tools of the future will provide increased performance capability and greater control of the manufacturing system with multifunctional and multi axis ability.

To coincide with the two events, IMTMA has also organised an 'International Seminar on Machining Technologies' which will focus on new manufacturing strategies, review and address emerging trends, as well as expose users and manufacturers to a range of value added machining solutions.

International experts from Germany, Israel, Sweden, UK, USA as well as from India will facilitate sessions at this International seminar. Spread over 2 keynotes and 5 concurrent sessions, the seminar will cover key technology areas related to metal-cutting machine tools and its subsystems.

The International seminar will provide both manufacturers and users of machine tools with latest metal-cutting solutions that would enhance productivity, improve quality and finish of machined components, in addition to reducing costs. The Seminar will dwell extensively on new manufacturing strategies and will highlight a range of value added machining solutions.  (KNN/ES)
