Khadi provides self-employment opportunities to the youth: Jharkhand CM

New Delhi, Dec 21 (KNN) Khadi has been providing self-employment opportunities to the people of the country, especially youth in the recent times, Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das said.

He said this while inaugurating the annual Khadi and Saras Mela.

The CM said that Khadi has got new identity in the present regime and will open lots of avenues for the people of the State.

“Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is making India as Mahatma Gandhi dreamed of. The PM is increasing income of villagers and farmers. He has given international identity to Khadi,” CM said.

Das added, “With a view to produce all the required things on our own as the PM’s Make in India programme suggests the government with the help of Jharkhand Khadi Village Industry Development board has organized the 15 day long fair.”

To provide self-employment to the youth of the Sate he stressed on Sweet revolution is also adding more farmers of the State.

He further added, “The fair will give boost to small and cottage industries. As in the villages such kinds of industries can thrive and the government will provide all possible facilities to the artisan of the State.” 

“The government has formed Khadi Village Industry Development with a view to develop small and cottage industries as it has also formed ‘Maati Kala Board’,” Das said.

Other dignitaries present on the occasion were distinguished guest Union Minister for State Small and Cottage Industry, Giriraj Singh, Urban and Housing Development Minister, CP Singh.
