NIFTEM seeks to rope in food processing entrepreneurs and farmers for pilot plants
New Delhi, Nov 6 (KNN) National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTM) is roping in entrepreneurs, industry persons, food processors, farmers, self help groups, farmers producers organization for pilot plants related to food processing.
The institute has invited bids from the entrepreneurs, industry persons, food processors, farmers, self help groups, farmers producers organization etc. for leasing/rent out the facilities related to ready-to-eat products, Indian tradition food products, milk processing line and dairy products, fruits and vegetables processing products and meat and poultry processing existing in the campus of NIFTEM at Sonipat.
The existing pilot plant consist of the facilities like compound wall, wide roads, soft water and power supply, Office space, complete utilities (Steam, Refrigeration etc.), Bank, Canteen, Food Testing Lab, Incubation centre including mentoring etc.
NIFTEM is the brainchild of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India that works actively for assisting in setting up food standards, businesses incubation. It is an apex institution in the field of food technology and management.
