NSIC calls for MSMEs to participate at CISMEF in Guangzhou from Oct 10-13

New Delhi, Sep 22 (KNN) The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has called for Indian MSMEs to participate at the 13th China International Small & Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) to be held in Guangzhou.

The fair, of which India is the co-host country, is being held from October 10-13, 2016 at the Poly World Trade Center, Guangzhou, China.

MSME Exhibitors from multiple sectors including - Food, textiles, electronics, information technology, electrical machinery, machine tools, luxury products, low-carbon technologies, plastics industry, lifestyle products, life sciences (medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, biotechnology), automotive & aeroplane technologies, high value brand products, building products, business services, consumer & personal services etc have been invited to put up their stalls at the Indian pavilion.

However, NSIC said that preference will be given to units belonging to sectors namely - machine tools, business services, consumer & personal services, luxury products, low carbon technology including environmental products and services

In a notification, NSIC said that India being the co-host country of the event, standard booths under Shell Scheme of size 3x3 sqm are being provided free of cost.

However, charges towards decoration and up-gradation of booths and construction of India Pavilion @ Rs. 14044 per booth have to be paid by the participating units. Additional charges and applicable taxes, if any, are also to be borne by the units.

There is no subsidy in the mentioned amount irrespective of the category of the unit, the notification added.

Further, reimbursement of upto certain amount would also be given on airfare and expense towards freight, local accommodation and boarding.

CISMEF is one of the largest and most important events for SMEs in the Asian-Pacific regions, with wide influence. (KNN Bureau)
