New Delhi, May 11 (KNN)The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has dashed-off a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and demanded strictest and exemplary punishment for all such people who are indulging in black marketing of COVID medicines and equipment.

The trader's body has termed these activities as "most heinous crime which deserve strong condemnation from all sections of the society. It has demanded the formation of a fast-track Court for a speedy trial of such people and the persons found guilty should be awarded with harsh punishment.

The CAIT has also said that if needed, the government should bring an ordinance to this effect but these people should not be spared under any circumstances.

CAIT National President B C Bhartia & Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal, on Tuesday, while strongly condemning such acts of certain scrupulous persons as most heinous said that it has brought a bad name for the nation even at global level and has greatly tarnished the image of India who is known for upholding the human values.

''It is an ugly act of some of the anti-humanity people which has further compelled the people to suffer more, who are already piling on the miseries of families already suffering tremendous pain due to the pandemic,'' they said.
