New Delhi, Apr 4 (KNN) Coronavirus epidemic has kept both Central government and State on its toes. Since it came to India, it has prompted them to take umpteen measures especially for the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector in the country.

One of such decision was taken by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday, where he announced relief for industrialists, businessmen and others using big power connections.

If the consumption for 50KW is 50 per cent or less, then the fixed charges of the last and the present month will be waived while for high-tension connections larger than 50KW, the fixed charges up to a maximum limit of Rs 10,000 will be waived in the bill.

''What they (government) are providing? We don't need this; they should withdraw this also. If they really, want to help us they should have waived off the power bills for three months,'' Manmohan Gaind Vice President of Manesar Industries Welfare Association (MIWA) told KNN India.

''Those who are using high-tension connection lager than 50KW, they if we calculate the charges will touch lakh, but the government is waiving the fixed charges up to a maximum limit of Rs 10,000. We don't need this 10,000 also,'' he added.

The Chief Minister further announced that the lockdown period will be considered 'zero period' for the contractors and they would be given rebate for the same.

While urging the people to stand together in hour of crisis, Khattar also urged industrialists, businessmen and traders to take care of the employees and labourers, and not ask them to leave their jobs or deduct their salaries.
