Eaton India Expands Puducherry Plant, Doubles Production Capacity

Puducherry, Oct 16 (KNN) Eaton India, a prominent power management company, has unveiled a significant expansion of its electrical manufacturing facility in Puducherry.

The newly expanded facility boasts an impressive 1.20 lakh square feet of additional space, effectively doubling the plant's production capacity.

This expansion includes a state-of-the-art 1 lakh square foot shop floor dedicated to power distribution product lines, complemented by 20,000 square feet allocated for utilities and supporting infrastructure.

With this latest addition, Eaton's manufacturing footprint in Puducherry now extends to over 2,60,000 square feet. The enhanced facility is set to play a crucial role in bolstering the production of critical power distribution components, including Air Circuit Breakers, Molded Case Circuit Breakers, and Fuses.

These essential products are vital for serving key sectors such as Data Centres, Industrial applications, Infrastructure projects, and large-scale utility undertakings.

Syed Sajjadh Ali, Managing Director, Eaton India's Electrical Sector, emphasised the strategic importance of this expansion. He stated that the new facility significantly enhances the company's capability to meet the growing demand for localised products, particularly in high-growth sectors like Data Centres and large-scale Industrial projects.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Craig Arnold, the company's chairman and CEO, marking a milestone in Eaton's commitment to the Indian market.
