MP To Highlight 60,000 Hectares Of Industrial Land At GIS 2025 To Boost Investment

Bhopal, Feb 17 (KNN) The Madhya Pradesh government is preparing to present approximately 60,000 hectares of industrial land and strategic industrial parks during the upcoming Global Investors Summit (GIS) in Bhopal.

This initiative aims to demonstrate the state's industrial capabilities and attract substantial investments to drive regional economic development.

The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) are overseeing a significant portion of the designated industrial land, which is currently in an undeveloped state.

The presentation will also highlight 15 proposed industrial zones as potential sites for new facilities.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the state government is implementing a targeted approach to industrial development.

The strategy focuses on areas with abundant raw materials and skilled workforce that have previously been overlooked by investors. To support this initiative, the government is introducing approximately 20 new policies designed to strengthen the industrial infrastructure.

A senior government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, emphasised the summit's importance, stating, "The GIS will serve as a vital platform to present Madhya Pradesh as a land of opportunities for industries.

Our abundant land bank of nearly 60,000 hectares and industrial parks, combined with our commitment to fostering a conducive business environment, make us an attractive destination for investment."

The state will showcase seven key industrial parks at the summit, including the PM Mega Integrated Textile and Apparel Park in Dhar, a Manufacturing Zone for Power and Renewable Energy Equipment in Narmadapuram, and a Mega Footwear and Accessories Cluster in Morena.

Additional featured projects include the DMIC Vikram Udyogpuri Limited and Medical Devices Park in Ujjain, along with Plastic Parks in Tamot and Bilaua.

The summit has already generated significant interest, with the Madhya Pradesh government closing registrations after exceeding 30,000 participants, substantially surpassing the MPIDC's initial projection of 20,000 delegates for the two-day event.
