65 Delayed-Payment Cases Worth Rs 8.29 Crore Resolved At Telangana’s Parishrama Adalat

Hyderabad, Aug 25 (KNN) The ‘Parishrama Adalat’, a conciliation conclave for delayed-payment disputes involving micro and small enterprises (MSEs), has resolved 65 cases involving Rs 8.29 crore, the Telangana government said.

Organised by the Commissionerate of Industries and Commerce, Telangana, in association with the Ministry of MSME, the conclave was held at FTCCI in Hyderabad. It brought together MSEs, buyers, public sector enterprises, MSE Facilitation Councils, alternative dispute resolution institutions and government officials.

Ankita Pandey, Director, RAMP, Ministry of MSME, outlined the evolution of the delayed-payment mechanism from the Samadhaan Portal to the MSME ODR platform. According to figures shared at the event, more than 800 cases have been filed in Telangana through the ODR ecosystem, with around 85 resolved.

Focus on Business Continuity

The conclave highlighted the impact of delayed payments on small businesses, including their ability to pay salaries, purchase raw materials, service loans and take up new orders.

The discussions emphasised that effective dispute resolution can support business continuity and preserve commercial relationships.

J. Nikhil Chakravarthi, Commissioner of Industries, Government of Telangana, said technology and stronger institutions would remain important to improving the ease of doing business for MSMEs.

Digital Dispute Resolution

The MSME ODR platform, launched in 2025, provides a digital mechanism for taking delayed-payment disputes forward, while MSE Facilitation Councils continue to play a central role in the resolution process.
