Telangana govt aims to strengthen ecosystem for biopharma segment with B-Hub

Hyderabad, Jan 4 (KNN) On successfully creating State-supported facilities T-Hub and We-Hub, the Telangana government is now setting up a similar ecosystem for the biopharma segment with Biopharma Hub (B-Hub).

State Industries Minister KTR laid the foundation stone for B-Hub at Genome Valley, which is a Growth-phase centre and Biopharma Scale-up manufacturing facility.

B-Hub will support small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the biopharma sector in conducting proof-of-concept studies in its 200L Single Use scale-up facility and will cater to research activities within the 1.5 lakh sq. ft. area while attracting talent and fostering innovation.

In the latest newsletter of the department, Jayesh Ranjan, IAS Principal Secretary, ITE&C & Industries Departmnet reflected on how MSMEs require support in many areas, of which digtization and online marketing provide substantial benefits to their business by helping them in outreach and discoverability.

In view of this, Telangana government signed 2 MoUs recently with Justdial, one of India’s largest search Engine and Meesho, which operates an online marketplace and app by the same name.

“We hope that the local Industry Associations will help us in reaching out to their members so that they can take maximum bene­fits from these collaborations,” he said.

The state has attracted several investments in the past quarter including companies such as Agger Technologies, Amara Raja Batteries, CapitaLand India trust, Gemini Edibles & Fats India Ltd., Grid Dynamics, Hatsun, Malabar Gems & Jewellery, Daifuku, Page Industries, Roche and others.  (KNN Bureau)
