Telangana’s industries minister concludes US, UK tour with investment commitments to create 42K Jobs

Hyderabad, May 26 (KNN) Telangana industries & IT minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday concluded his two-week business tour of the United States and United Kingdom with promises of investment that are expected to generate approximately 42,000 direct employment opportunities in the state.
Each of these proposed direct jobs slated to be created will have a potential to create three to four indirect jobs, a communique from KTR’s office said.
As per reports, the state has successfully bagged investments across sectors such as BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance), emerging technologies, IT & ITeS, media & entertainment, aerospace & defense, lifesciences, medical devices, digital solutions, innovation & data centres, automotive and EV, among others.
Telangana has also received commitments from Warner Bros Discovery, medical devices biggie Medtronic, banking behemoth StateStreet, Bain Capital-owned VXI Global Solutions and the London Stock Exchange group, sports live streaming major DAZN, French-American oil & gas giant Technip FMC, and many more.
Rao during his two nation tour, met with over 80 businessmen and attended five sector specific roundtable meetings. He also addressed two conferences where he showcased the Telangana model of development and key projects such as Kaleshwaram and Mission Bhagiratha.
In meetings the minister pitched Telangana as the ideal gateway for investors choosing India as their investment destination and also got some IT companies like Sonata Software and 3M-Eclat to invest in tier-2 cities like Nalgonda and Karimnagar, respectively. (KNN Bureau)
