Entrepreneurs from Gurugram, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Panipat, Sonipat and Karnal were present at that meeting and also voiced their demand for uninterrupted power supply for 24/7.

Speaking exclusively with KNN India, Rakesh Chhabra, President, Rai Industries Association (RAI) said, “We have written a letter to the authority requesting for an extension as industries are finding it difficult to arrange permitted genset as per CAQM norms.”

Chhabra further pointed out the high demand and less availability of new CPCB 4 gensets has the potential to allow practices that would create a black market.

Rationalising their demands, he said an extension for 12 months will give sufficient time to every industrial units to prepare and comply with the new regulations.

The industries have decided to collectively raise the matter in their respective districts if the matter is not addressed by the authorities.  (KNN Bureau)
