Lucknow, Jul 27 (KNN) Allahabad University (AU) will establish an inclusive technology business incubator after the Department of Science and Technology (DST) approved a Rs 5 crore project aimed at strengthening the university's startup and innovation ecosystem.

The incubator will support students, researchers, faculty members and young entrepreneurs in converting technology-driven ideas into market-ready startups and encouraging job creation.

Focus on Inclusive Technologies and Social Innovation

The project will focus on four key sectors, assistive technology, inclusive healthcare, tourism and urban development, with an emphasis on developing solutions for persons with disabilities, senior citizens and communities requiring improved healthcare and urban services.

Under the initiative, innovators will receive technical guidance, expert mentorship, entrepreneurial support and assistance in scaling up their ventures from the laboratory to the marketplace, reported Times Of India.

University Aims to Strengthen Innovation Ecosystem

Allahabad University Vice Chancellor Sangita Srivastava said the incubator would help create an ecosystem that combines innovation with social impact, enabling entrepreneurs to develop practical solutions while building sustainable enterprises.

The initiative is expected to promote technology-based entrepreneurship and strengthen the university's role in fostering innovation-led economic development.

Impact on MSMEs
