UP Trade Show Eyes Rs 25,000 Cr Business Potential, Aims To Expand MSME Global Reach

Lucknow, Jul 3 (KNN) The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS), scheduled to be held in Greater Noida from 25 to 29 September 2026, is expected to generate Rs 20,000 crore in potential business and Rs 5,000 crore in business enquiries, while providing a global trading platform to the state's nine million MSMEs, according to officials.

The event, themed ‘UP for Global Growth: Innovation, Manufacturing and Exports’, aims to attract 550 international buyers from over 80 countries and 45,000 business-to-business buyers.

Officials said the show is also expected to facilitate over 5,000 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between domestic and international trading and business entities, according to Business Standard.

UPITS 2026 will position Uttar Pradesh as a global sourcing hub for multinational firms, importers, exporters, and e-commerce players, aligned with the state's ambition to become a USD 1 trillion economy by 2030.

Sub-Themes and Sectoral Focus

The event's sub-themes include Make in UP, Export from UP, One District One Product (ODOP) to Global Markets, MSME and Startup Empowerment, Sustainable Manufacturing, Digital Trade and E-Commerce, and Investment and Logistics Hub.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary S P Goyal, at a review meeting, called for the event to be organised with greater scale and emphasised inclusion of exhibitions and business models in artificial intelligence, robotics, dairy, fisheries, and food processing.

He said, “The trade show should showcase Uttar Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage, history, traditional arts, tribal culture, folk art, and folk heritage, thus enabling visitors from across India and abroad to experience the state's cultural diversity,” as quoted by Business Standard.

The show will also feature traditional cuisines under the One District One Cuisine (ODOC) initiative, providing local culinary heritage an international platform.

Large-scale branding activities are planned across major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad ahead of the event, with hoardings to be installed at major cities and airports two months prior to the show.
