BSE, PHDCCI Partner To Boost Equity Financing, Capital-Market Access For MSMEs

New Delhi, Aug 18 (KNN) BSE Ltd and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) have partnered to promote equity financing and expand capital-market access for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across India.

The two organisations signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to increase awareness among MSMEs about equity financing, particularly through the BSE SME platform, and support eligible businesses in understanding and navigating the listing process, PTI reported.

Under the partnership, BSE will provide subject-matter experts and trainers for seminars, workshops, roadshows, knowledge sessions and other awareness programmes. These initiatives will focus on the benefits, requirements and processes involved in raising capital through the equity markets.

The collaboration will also provide MSMEs with mentorship, expert guidance and capacity-building support. A nodal-point mechanism will be established to help businesses identify and explore suitable capital-market opportunities.

BSE Managing Director and CEO Sundararaman Ramamurthy said the partnership would help extend awareness about SME listing to businesses across the country.

“The BSE SME Platform offers eligible businesses an opportunity to access growth capital while enhancing visibility and corporate credibility,” he added.

PHDCCI will use its network of member associations, industry bodies and regional chambers to reach MSMEs and conduct awareness and capacity-building programmes.

The partnership is aimed at encouraging more eligible MSMEs to consider equity markets as an alternative source of growth capital and strengthen their understanding of capital-market opportunities.
