IICA, HP India Launch ESG Programme For MSME Professionals With 100% Scholarships

New Delhi, Aug 18 (KNN) The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), in partnership with HP India, has invited applications from eligible micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) professionals for the HP Future Impact Leaders – IICA Certified ESG Professional Programme (Batch III).

The deadline for submitting applications is August 25, 2026.

The six-month programme aims to strengthen practical capabilities in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and responsible business practices. 

A 100 per cent scholarship will be offered to 75 selected candidates. Applicants will, however, be required to pay Rs 25,000 plus applicable taxes towards NAIL membership at the time of registration.

Programme Delivery and Eligibility

The programme will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining self-paced e-learning, interactive online sessions and in-person learning engagements. Participants will also have the opportunity to join the National Association of Impact Leaders (NAIL) for continued learning and professional engagement.

Eligible applicants must be graduates with at least five years of relevant experience in ESG, CSR, sustainability, environment, health and safety (EHS), or business and human rights. Applicants must also hold a valid MSME URN.

Preference will be given to MSME professionals, women in MSME leadership roles and professionals from the North-Eastern Region.

Why ESG Matters for MSMEs

The programme highlights ESG as a tool for strengthening business resilience, improving competitiveness and managing environmental, social and governance risks. 

It is intended to help MSMEs improve resource efficiency, enhance stakeholder confidence, identify new market opportunities and integrate sustainability into business strategy and decision-making.

The programme will further help participants prepare for ESG reporting, materiality assessments and the implementation of practical sustainability measures.
