New Delhi, Apr 7 (KNN) An apex body of international trade promotion organization, Federation of Indian Export Organization (FIEO) and Global Technology and digital payments platform provider PayPal are collaborating to promote exports.

This partnership between two is recently been announced in order to leverage the technology and experience of each other to promote exports.

PayPal will join hands with FIEO to work on educating small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on how to leverage global opportunities, help them receive money in a safe and timely manner with PayPal products like invoicing and bring to them global best practices from across 200 markets.

FIEO Director General and CEO, Ajay Sahai said that PayPal services and products like invoicing solutions, safe and trusted payment options for buyers and easy integration with existing business systems will help encourage the entrepreneurs and the startups to take to exports without much technical knowledge and difficulty.

He said that the partnership is in line with Prime Minister’s vision of Make in India, Digital India and empowering the youth for start-up encouragement with export orientation.

PayPal India Managing Director and Country Manager, Anupam Pahuja said that this MoU between them will focus on training Indian SMEs in various aspects of exports and familiarize them with global growth opportunities.

He said due to some inherent challenges Indian SME sector was not able to unleash its true potential and thus our programs and seminars will negate the myths and simplify the entire system of SME.

FIEO's members contribute to more than 70 percent of India's exports, he further added.

This partnership aims at providing training to empower exporters and to address the challenges faced by SMBs such as risks associated with operating in a global marketplace, complicated shipping and exports procedures which serve as deterrents for this sector which has very high potential.
