AP MSME Minister Asks Officials To Expand ODOP Coverage

New Delhi, Jun 25 (KNN) In a significant move to bolster the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, Andhra Pradesh's Minister for MSME and NRI Empowerment and Relations, Kondapalli Srinivas, conducted a comprehensive review meeting at the Commissioner of Industries office in Mangalagiri on Monday.

In a move to boost local economies, Srinivas urged officials to expand the range of products under the 'One District-One Product' initiative.

The review included discussions on the A.P. exports portal, indicating a push towards enhancing the state's export capabilities.

Minister Srinivas emphasised the need to reduce the compliance burden on industries, signalling a potential shift towards more business-friendly policies.

During the meeting, officials presented various online platforms designed to facilitate industrial processes, including investment tracking and single-desk systems.

The minister also inquired about the progress of the Ease-of-Doing Business program, with particular attention to land allotments and approvals for industrial park plots.

The minister's visit underscored the government's commitment to fostering a conducive environment for industrial growth and economic development in the state.

This high-level meeting, attended by key officials including MSME Corporation CEO Adarsh Rajendran and Additional Director of Industries A.V. Patel, reflects the government's proactive approach in addressing challenges and exploring opportunities within the MSME sector.

The minister's directives suggest a focus on simplifying processes, embracing digitalisation, and promoting local products to drive economic growth in Andhra Pradesh.
