Jammu, May 25 (KNN) The five-week long Budget session of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly began today with Governor N N Vohra's address and the 2016-17 Budget will be presented in the House on May 30. The MSMEs in the state have pinned hoped on the Mufti government that they carry forward the incentives being given to the industries in the state.

Talking to KNN, the President of Bari Brahmana Industries Association, Jammu, Lalit Mahajan said that state government's incentives should be carried forward like tax remissions, toll tax exemptions and other things until GST is passed.

“The exemptions would continue till 30 June”, he added.

Dealing with the opposition will be a major challenge for the Mehbooba Mufti-led government, which is already under strain after a united pro-freedom camp called for a stir against the contentious Sainik Colony, Pandit townships, new industrial policy and NEET. (KNN Bureau)
