Bridge between Baghpat and Panipat is very important with regards to business: Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow, Feb 10 (KNN) Acknowledging that the bridge over the Yamuna River between Baghpat and Panipat districts is important from business point of view for Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has written a letter to his Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar to select an alternate place for the bridge.

The two states had signed a MoU for construction of a bridge over the Yamuna River between Baghpat and Panipat districts, link roads on both sides.

This, Yadav pointed out, may be done by giving necessary directives to administrative and PWD officers of his state so that work on the bridge may be started at the earliest.

The Chief Minister, in his letter, has also said that this bridge is very important with regards to business and transport between the two states. He also pointed out that though joint meetings of concerning officers of both the states have been convened but they have not yielded desired results. (KNN Bureau)
