Baddi, Jan 12 (KNN) Drug firm Cadila Healthcare has received Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) for Baddi manufacturing plant from the US health regulator after successful inspection closure.

The move has elevated the hope for getting businesses for the SMEs in the region. The MSMEs in the region are hopeful that the manufacturing unit might channelize the benefits to the small industries situated in the area as well.

“Cadila is a company operating at large scale. The unit in Baddi will definitely help the other allied industries to grow” A L Gupta, an industrialist based in Baddi told KNN.

“Pharmaceutical industries have many requirements for which the assistance of smaller industries would be required. For example, the packaging requirements, member requirements to manufacture on its behalf, thus, small units would be benefited largely” Gupta, who is also a member of the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Industries Association (BBNIA) further added.

Gupta also asserted that the increased demand for raw materials would benefit the local producers and vendors.

Apart from the expansion of industry, a significant growth in Baddi is also anticipated.

“The setting up of the manufacturing unit is also going to raise the employment opportunities in the area” Gupta added. (KNN Bureau)
