CII to launch SME Knowledge and Finance Forum in Mysuru on May 27

Mysuru, May 26 (KNN) Industry body Confederation of Indian Industry, Mysuru, would launch a ‘SME Knowledge and Finance Forum’ on May 27 to make the sector more productive.

The forum would help dissemination of knowledge and information, hold tailor-made training programmes and workshops to adopt global manufacturing practices, and help create better understanding of topical issues that MSMEs face.

N Muthukumar, Chairman, CII told KNN the forum is about the new opportunities coming for the MSME sector and to address their statutory issues and enable financial interaction with banks and leaderships.

“It will be functioning for six to seven months and the registered members would undergo regular training,” said Muthukumar.

Deric Fernandes, MD, Deco Equipments Pvt. Ltd., will be the convenor of the forum, while C.K. Sabareeshan, former chairman, CII Mysuru, will mentor the initiative.

The National Small Industries Corporation, MSME Development Institute, Bengaluru, and the Karnataka State Small Industries Development Corporation will partner with CII Mysuru on this, Muthukumar added.

“Lot of manufacturing activities are being outsourced to Coimbatore and Bengaluru now a days because of which the local strength is losing. In order to make them more productive and also to understand the nature of manufacturing, this forum has been formed,” said the CII President. (KNN Bureau)
