Gujarat CM promises to resolve the issues of MSMEs

Gandhinagar, Feb 6 (KNN) Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel launched regional felicitation desk in four cities to help and promote industries in a broader way where she promised to resolve the issues of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in Gujarat.
She was addressing the annual board meeting of the state MSME Advisory Board on Friday.
The regional facilitation desks have been set-up in Ahmadabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat with all modern facilities.
While addressing the meeting, CM said that MSME offers equal contributions for the industrial development of the state just like bigger industries adding firm commitment to solve the problems of industries through MSME Advisory Board.
Number of MSME registered in the state are more than six lakh which provide employments to the about 36 lakh people in the state.
She said that small and medium industries are the key factor for the industrial development of the state and the state government is constantly trying to help strengthen the industries.
She also made four important decisions for the development of MSME in the state. They include extending the period of getting 'consent to establish' from Gujarat Pollution Control Board from five to seven years.
Industries which do not fall in green category as per environmental status, can submit self-certified annual compliance report. (KNN Bureau)
