New Delhi, Sept 5 (KNN)  Allottees of plots in the industrial estates developed by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) will have one more year  to implement and set up their projects without paying for any penalty.

Those given plots in the IT parks of Manesar, Panchkula and Rai will be given extension of two years to implement their projects as the country faces a difficult economic situation, state Chief Minister B S Hooda said during his interaction with the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) here.

He said no extension fee would be charged from the allottees for the extra time being given to them. The HSIIDC has developed industrial estates in various parts of the state.

As another step to help the industry in these difficult times, it has been decided that wherever any allottee is not in a position to implement the project and intends to surrender the plot within the next six months, the same will be allowed without deduction and the principal amount deposited by the allottee towards price of the plot will be refunded in full.

“These measures are expected to provide major relief to the industrial sector in Haryana,” the Chief Minister told the ASSOCHAM members here yesterday.

The connectivity is being improved as also the Mass Rapid Transit System project between Gurgaon-Manesar-Bawal. It would facilitate the movement of labour and goods in this industrial belt. Two major Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) - Gurgaon-Rewari-Alwar, and Delhi-Sonipat-Panipat Corridors have also been planned.

He said to boost agriculture and the food – processing industries, the state is laying focus on development of storage infrastructure like Silos, warehouses, cold chains, and cold storages to prevent wastage of agriculture and horticulture crops.  FDI in retail sector would create backend infrastructure, create more jobs and bring best international practices in agriculture.   (KNN/PC)
