Chandigarh, Apr 20 (KNN)  Haryana is wooing the industry with its innovative initiatives and business friendly policies by creating suitable infrastructure and niche parks.

“We have undertaken a mission to give further impetus to economic development of the state through strong infrastructure, favourable business environment, pragmatic policies and pool of skilled manpower,” said Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Further, efforts are on to improve connectivity, ensuring adequate power and water supply and providing effective logistic support to the industry.
The government has also initiated a slew of measures to develop industrial hubs.  Today, Sonipat district alone accounts for about 4,000 acres of developed industrial space at Kundli, Rai, Sonipat and Barhi.

Besides, places such as Kharkhauda and Laath-Bidhal-Jauli will soon house industrial townships.
In a move to put the district on high pace of growth, the government is in the process of developing a 135 km four lane Kundli- Manear expressway which will cut its distance from national capital.  With the upcoming Delhi- Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project, doing business in the district will be far easier.

The government is also mulling a Rapid Rail Corridor between Delhi-Sonipat-Panipat.

Niche parks like Electronics Hardware Technology Park at Kundli, IT Park and Food Park at Rai, Apparel Park at Barhi, Agriculture Instrument Park at Karnal and Footware Park at Bahadurgarh have also been set up to support clustered base growth of the industry.

The increasing civic amenities in the state have also attracted investors. Haryana Urban Development Authority is constructing roads, sewerage, storm water drainage, water supply and electrification.

As property rates become higher in the national capital region, Haryana is expecting more industries to set up their bases in the state particularly in the areas close to Delhi. (KNN)
