Jammu MSMEs upset with Forest Dept for keeping them out of Pollution Control Board

Jammu, Mar 14 (KNN) The Jammu entrepreneurs met the forest department officials of the state to discuss issues related to Pollution Control Board in respect of the industrial sector.

A delegation of BBIA led by Lalit Mahajan, President Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) met with Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary, Forest Department.

During the Course of discussion BBIA showed their resentment for the non-inclusion of Chairman of Federation of Industries, Jammu/Kashmir in the Pollution Control Board in spite of the fact that Industrial Sector is the real stake holder in respect of issues related to the department, the association said.

The other matters deliberated in the meeting were online issue of Consent to Establish/Operate, One time issue of Consent to Establish till the PMT of the Unit, Renewal of Consent to Operate as per the directives of the Central Pollution Control Board, Reduction in the Fees for obtaining Consent to Establish/.Operate, Delegation of Powers to Regional Directors for the renewal of Consent to Operate for Orange Category, Exempt the unit holder for obtaining NOC’s in respect of DG Set,  Time Bound schedule for the clearance of files which were discussed in detail.

The Forest Department officials assured the delegation to resolve the issues on priority basis. (KNN Bureau)
