J&K CM’s budget proposals aims to woo investors, boost entrepreneurship in state

Srinagar, May 31 (KNN) Apart from the decision to review the new industrial policy passed during Governor’s rule in the state, J&K government has made several announcements to boost entrepreneurship in the state.

In one such move, J&K PDP, said in a tweet that, “To encourage young entrepreneurs, Government will set up incubators for sunrise industries in the capital cities of Srinagar and Jammu.”

As a part of the budget announcement, the state government has proposed Rs 5 crore as Start-up fund.

Referring to this, the party tweeted, “Proposing Rs 5 crore as start-up fund to begin with, business incubators will provide finances, branding & marketing support to entrepreneurs.”

The Mufti government has also proposed to give women a level playing field by way of reserving 10 % area in all industrial estates of the state for women entrepreneurs.

Also, the Mufti government has announced to equip women with skills for which it would setup two Entrepreneur Development Centres, one each in Srinagar and Jammu. (KNN Bureau)
