Kashmiri MSMEs await new govt’s intervention for problem redressal

Srinagar, Apr 4 (KNN) The Kashmiri MSMEs are optimistic that the new chief minister of the state Mehbooba Mufti would not let their demands go unheard.

Mufti today sworn-in here as the first woman chief minister of the state along with 22 other ministers, where there is an increased strength for BJP in the Cabinet. The traders across the Kashmir expect that the new Government would go beyond the other political issues and focus on trade and business too.

Talking to KNN, the Acting President of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF), Bashir Ahmed said, “A stable government is necessary for the State, so that we can tell them the problems we face in the valley.”

He said that the land should be allotted to the traders in Srinagar who face the problem of rehabilitation.

The roads are very narrow and due to congestion, the traders faced the problem which hampers their business in the city, he complained.

He also highlighted that the electricity tariff has been increased by 17-18 per cent which should be rolled back soon.

He talked about the ongoing Jewellers strike in the country, and said that Government can’t force the law without consulting the stakeholders. (KNN Bureau)
