KASSIA organizing workshop on EPCG Guidelines, FTP in B’luru on Aug 18

Bengaluru, Aug 12 (KNN) The Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) is organizing a workshop on Export Obligations & EPCG Guidelines, Procedures & the Foreign Trade Policy and the Various Schemes.

The workshop would be held on August 18, 2016 at 6:30 pm at KASSIA Auditorium, Vijaynagar, Bengaluru.

Vijay Kumar, ITS, Additional Director General of Foreign Trade will be inaugurating the workshop and Md Moin Afaque will make a presentation on the subject.

KASSIA President A Padmanabha will be presiding over the event.

The workshop is being supported by IDFC Bank, Bengaluru along with i1 Properties.

The main aim of the Workshop is to update exporters about the various schemes and guidelines of the government for exports.  The workshop would also help create awareness about the guidelines under the Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme and the Foreign Trade Policy to boost exports from the region.

Under the EPCG scheme, the Centre allows duty-free import of capital goods including spare parts, but under the condition that on completion of the project, the importing company will export eight times the value of duty saved over a period of six years. (KNN Bureau)
