KASSIA to organise ‘Agro-Tech Expo 2016’ in Mysore

Bengaluru, Mar 5 (KNN) The Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) is going to organise a three day agriculture trade fair 'Agro-Tech Expo 2016' here in Mysore starting April 22 in order to guide the farmers about the use of latest technology.

Talking to KNN, The President of KASSIA V.K. Dikshit said that the seminar will help farmers learn about the latest technology available in the market to increase their production.
He also said the farmers would also be given guidance on how to avail loans and subsidy schemes of the government to purchase machinery.

We are setting up around 250 stalls in the exhibition, he added.

“They have an opportunity to learn about the technology," said the President adding that many food processing technological things would also be available in the stalls.

The focus will be on agriculture, animal husbandry, dairy and poultry, fisheries, food processing, horticulture, floriculture, and agriculture engineering.

The three day seminar and exhibition is  jointly being organised by KASSIA, the State government, Karnataka State Small Industries Development Corporation (KSSIDC), National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) and Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Karnataka State Department of Agriculture (KSDA).
