Raipur, Feb 11 (KNN) The micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the state have hailed Chhattisgarh Government’s initiative ‘Udyam Aakansha Scheme’ for improving ease of doing business.
The scheme would facilitate free online registration and self-certification to the investors interested in investment on MSMEs and service businesses. There is a provision for the investors to get themselves enrolled online for free through the website of the Industries department which would be based on self-certification.
Ashwin Garg, Vice President, Ura Industrial Association (UIA) told KNN, “Online registration will save lot of time and effort of the MSMEs. We will also be able to do self-attestation now.”
“Under the online registration process, in case the entrepreneurs are short of any documents, it would be the responsibility of the concerned department to tell us about that within 30 days of time,” he said.
“Till then our company would be considered registered,” he added.
As the budget is about to come this month, the entrepreneurs have raised their concerns regarding taxation issues.
“The state of the MSMEs especially the exporters is bad mainly due to the global impact and credit crunch,” he said.
The association has raised the issues with the state government regarding relief in taxation an electricity tariff. (KNN Bureau)
