OSIC inks pact with WTC to provide export marketing and service support to SMEs

Bhubaneswar, July 21 (KNN) With the view to enhance exports from the state, the Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Trade Centre (WTC), Mumbai.

The MoU signed here envisages providing export marketing and service support to the medium and small scale entrepreneurs.

The MoU was signed by OSIC managing director Partha Sarathi Mishra and AO Kuruvila, Advisor, WTC, Mumbai.

Odisha MSME Minister Jogendra Behera said Odisha has a huge potential to become a leader in various products and services.

"WTC having its strong presence in 92 countries and 332 centres all over the world would help the state to promote the MSME products at the global level. It would provide market penetration opportunities for the MSMEs of the state," said Behera.

He also said the mineral and non-mineral products of Odisha are in high demand in international markets.

Behera said the WTC would provide a platform to the small and medium industries sector entrepreneurs to export their products. (KNN Bureau)
