Ready-made industrial sheds solves land scarcity issue in Gujarat, gaining attention from overseas

New Delhi, Jan 21 (KNN) Deficiency of ample amount of land has always been an issue for the industrialists in Gujarat. Emerging as one of the top-notch centre for innovation, the state calls for immense requirement of infrastructure and land. However, the requirements seem to suffer due to the unavailability of land at reasonable costs.
“Availability of land is one of the biggest challenges for the industrialists in Gujarat”, Hemant N. Shah, Secretary of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce Industry (GCCI) told KNN.
Visualising the issue, Dharti group & Apollo group joined hands to come up with a joint venture project named Dharti Apollo Ecp-Industrial Park which aims at building a next generation infrastructure facility to grow business while reducing costs.
With most of the industry suffering from scarcity of land and the inadequate supply of basic amenities, DAIP has come as relief for the industrialist, providing the much required space with well-built infrastructure along with the provision of 24 hours water and electricity supply.
In conversation with an official of DAIP, it turned out that the project has gained the attention not only within India, but from abroad.
“DAIP has been getting response from industries based in countries like Japan, China, Taiwan and Denmark” Hitesh Patel from DAIP, told us.
With an investment of over 600 crores from Industrialists based in Denmark and China, the project has succeeded to turn more heads towards it.
“We have acquired the NA/NOC central clearance, and haven’t faced any problems on the operational front yet” Patel added.
Apart from the basic facilities, the project has provided access to the industry to free warehouse and sheds as well as highly built telecom and networking. Connectivity has also been given a priority while setting up the industrial space.
Launched in early 2013, DAIP has seemed to acquire the interest of many of the industrialists due to the integrated facilities made available to the industrialist at reasonable costs. As of now, the industrial area has housed 7 industrial units that are in complete operational condition. (KNN Bureau)
