Jammu, July 7 (KNN) Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs from Samba district in Jammu met the Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Zulfkar Ali Chowdhary to discuss about the renewal of licenses of the industrial units for the storage of pesticides and solvents.

Meeting was held between the delegation of industrialists from Association of Industries IGC  Samba led by Lalit Mahajan Chairman Federation of Industries Jammu and Vijay Aggarwal President of the Association  and the Minister.

During the course of discussions Mahajan and Aggarwal appreciated the sincere efforts of the Minister for the implementation of schemes under the National Food Security Act which will provide relief to the common people of the state.

The issue regarding the renewal of licenses of the industrial units for the storage of pesticides and solvents was also brought in to the notice of the Minister.

Mahajan requested the Minister to extend the period of renewal from one year at present to three years under the ease of doing business concept adopted by our Government. 

Chowdhary issued on spot instructions to the concerned officials to extend the date for the renewal of licenses till the finalization of new guidelines and also assured the delegation to consider the demand for the extension of time for the renewal of licenses from one year at present to two years.

The industrialists present in the meeting assured the Minister to provide all sort of help under Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme. (KNN Bureau)
