‘Start-up Jharkhand’ good but question is how govt plans to take it forward: J’khand MSMEs

Ranchi, Apr 5 (KNN) Jharkhand government has introduced ‘Start-up Jharkhand’ and has earmarked Rs 50 crore to encourage entrepreneurs across sectors.

While announcing this, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, on Monday, said a policy on Start-Up Jharkhand would be coming soon.

Innovation and Incubation Centres were being set up at a cost of Rs 10 crore, he said, adding an innovation lab would also be set up with the help of IIM Ahmedabad.

Das said entrepreneurs were being encouraged in the sectors like Information Technology, Health, Tourism, Agriculture, Biotechnology and alternative energy.

Reacting to this, President of Jharkhand Small Industries Association, Yogendra Kumar Ojha, said, “It a good initiative to give benefits to the new entrepreneurs to encourage them. But the question is that how the government is planning to take this forward and publicize this.”

He said that the industry is waiting to see that what the new policy has to offer them. (KNN Bureau)
