State govts should also take steps to improve ease of doing biz: BBIA

Jammu, Jan 25 (KNN) The MSME cluster foundation awarded the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) in Jammu for their contribution towards rehabilitation of sick industrial units in the state.

Foundation for MSME Cluster, New Delhi, has organized an award function for the Responsible Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) with an endeavor to increase their role in the betterment of the industrial sector. As many as 163 associations participated from all over India.

BBIA was also given award money of Rs 50,000 as hand holding support.

BBIA President Lalit Mahajan received the award from Ayumi Fujino, Representative and Regional Director for South Asia of UNIDO on behalf of BBIA.

In his address, Mahajan hailed the pro-industry measures taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that industry friendly steps have been taken for the MSME sector by removing the hurdles on the way of growth of the sector.

Mahajan, however, noted that the state governments should also take appropriate steps to improve Ease of Doing Business in the state.

He said the steps should be implemented by the state governments for the growth of the MSME sector throughout the Country with the timely clearance of matters related to the industrial sectors.

He also suggested abolishing ‘Inspector Raj System’ and have self-certification system for the MSME sector. (KNN Bureau)
