Telangana industries unhappy over Rs 967 cr allocation in state budget

Hyderabad, Mar 16 (KNN) The Telangana industry has expressed disappointment over the Rs 967 crore allocation for industries and commerce for the year 2016-17.

The industry was expecting allocation of atleast Rs 1200 crore.

The Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) said, "We opined that the government will allocate more than Rs 1200 crore to streamline the incentives and subsidies to the industrial units."

"We request the government to allocate another Rs 500 crore in the interim appraisal," the association said.

The industry body also said that there is no clarity on power allocation except that the power generation capacity would increase to 23, 912 MW in the next three years, the industry said. (KNN Bureau)
