In this context, UPSIDC has called for bids from consultants for preparing the concept plan and detailed project report.
In a press note, UPSIDC said that the last date of sending expression of interest has been extended till January 18, 2016.
Last year in November, UP government had issued a notification for acquisition of 7.68 hectares of land for the project.
The decision came after chief minister Akhilesh Yadav visited French perfume capital Grasse in May last year, where he had announced a twin-city project with the city, to revive the perfume industry in Kannauj.
Kannauj, traditionally referred to as the Grasse of the East, is famous for the natural fragrances.
The perfume park will also house a special attar manufacturing zone in Kannauj for modern distillation and extraction units. (KNN Bureau)
